A sharp eye might note West Wind on the side of the boat. Tioga lll was originally named West Wind by the owner’s father, who had her built in Taiwan in 1978. He sailed around the world after several years based in Hong Kong where he lived on the boat and had some custom work done. After long stays in various ports of call over some 15 years, he berthed in South Florida for several years. Spending increasingly more time at his home in Santa Barbara, he decided to bring West Wind ‘home’. For nostalgic reasons and wanting a new start in California, he decided to rename the boat Tioga lll – having had both Tioga l & ll in the Santa Barbara marina. The last leg of his sea going adventures to him to Baja, a place where all the family had enjoyed cruising for decades. A so, Tioga ended up at Marina Costa Baja – a place where they got to know Capt Jack. His son, the current owner, has taken over the responsibilities of care and maintenance since his  father has been in poor health for several years.

Forward is a comfortable V-berth followed by a starboard side double pullman berth.  The head compartment is to port with both cabin and salon doors.  The starboard side straight settee is flanked by a pilot berth.  The “L” shaped settee w/ cabinetry, TV and drop leaf table are to port.  The galley is a wrap around keyhold w/ the double stainless steel sinks on centerline.  The starboard forward facing Nav. station is in front of a quarter berth.  There is inside access to all of the storage space under the cockpit.  Interior is in traditional brass & teak. Head and Shower

The galley is an expression of Robert Perry’s love for cooking at sea.
